There are many types of molds that can invade homes and businesses. While some are more harmful than others, the CDC recommends addressing any mold you find, regardless of the variety. Mold doesn’t always announce itself with visible growth. It can flourish in hard to see and reach areas, in crawl spaces, in furnishings and carpets, in HVAC ducts, and in basements. The rule of thumb: if there’s been consistent moisture or a past water event in any area of your home or building , there’s likely mold present that needs to be addressed. That lingering, musty or hard to identify smell, usually means mold.

Molds that produce toxic substances that can lead to dangerous or even deadly health conditions. This is sometimes referred to as “toxic mold”.

Testing For Black Mold

If you have no visible mold, but still suspect its presence we recommend testing. Mold spores are microscopic. They cannot be seen with the human eye but can cause health problems for humans and pets. We can test for mold, including black mold. Our trained technicians will take three air samples which we send to an independent lab to be tested for mold. Additional air tests can be added for an additional fee.
